Before joining Element Pictures as in-house Producer in October 2016, Rory Gilmartin spent four years as Project Manager at Bord Scannán na hÉireann / the Irish Film Board where he served as executive producer on a range of feature films and documentaries including The Lobster, Brooklyn, Viva, The Young Offenders, Maudie, 66 Days and A Date For Mad Mary.

Prior to IFB, Rory was Head of Development & Production at Independent Talent’s production entity Brilliant Films, where he sourced and developed projects with Independent’s roster of directing talent including Jonathan Glazer, Duncan Jones, Rupert Wyatt, Neil LaBute, Martin Campbell, and Mike Newell.

Before joining Brilliant, Rory was Head of Development at Impact Pictures where he worked closely with director Paul W. S. Anderson and producer Jeremy Bolt on the Resident Evil franchise of films, and served as co-producer on Summit/Constantin’s The Three Musketeers.
