

Ed Guiney - Company Director
Ed's focus is on overseeing the development of our film and television slate and producing (or overseeing the production of) those projects that are green lit, whether from our slate or 3rd Party projects. Ed commutes between Dublin and London. Prior to setting up Element Pictures with Andrew Lowe, Ed produced various titles under Temple Films.

Andrew Lowe - Company Director
Andrew Lowe jointly runs Element Pictures together with Ed Guiney with whom he founded the company in 2001. Andrew’s focus is on managing the financing and business affairs of Element’s own slate of projects and the overseeing of Element’s co-production activity in both film and television. Andrew is also a board member of the Screen Producers Ireland (SPI) and Vice Chair of the IBEC Audiovisual Federation. Prior to setting up Element Pictures with Ed Guiney, Andrew was head of Business Affairs at the Irish Film Board (1999-2001) and a freelance production accountant in feature film from 1993 to 1999 having qualified as a chartered accountant with Coopers and Lybrand in 1996.

Robert Finn- Sales Manager
Robert joined Element Pictures as Sales Manger in September 2008, before that he worked for five years as the marketing manager for a cinema company. He graduated from the University of Ulster in 2001 with a degree in Irish History and Politics and completed a Hdip in Business Studies at the UCD, Michael Smurfit Business School in 2003.
His favourite film of all time is The Motorcycle Diaries and he likes to play football, travel and hill walk during his free time.

Paula Heffernan - Production Coordinator
Paula studied Communications in DIT and graduated with a BSc degree in 2003. Her job as production coordinator involves overseeing the pre and post production stages of Element Pictures' film and television projects. This encompasses the early coordination of crewing, location recces and worldwide travel/accommodation management, to supervising the post production editing and delivery process. Film Festival enquiries, submissions and preparations are also a speciality!

Lee Magiday - Head of Development and Production - Film
Lee Magiday, based in the London office, is Head of Development & Production and responsible for acquiring, developing and overseeing Element Pictures' feature film projects. Formerly VP of Acquisitions and Production – Europe for Focus Features, she was involved with films such as Swimming Pool, My Summer of Love and Hell (L'Enfer).

Fiona McConnell - Business Affairs Executive
Fiona studied Law and Business Studies at the University of Ulster in the North of Ireland. Having completed her L.L.B she returned to Dublin to continue her legal studies in the Law Society of Ireland. She completed her training with Adams Corporate Solicitors concentrating particularly in the area of commercial law. Fiona joined Element Pictures in September 2008 as the Business Affairs Executive.

Emma Norton - Development Executive
Emma joined Element Pictures as the Dublin-based Development Executive in September 2008. In this role Emma works across film and television, working closely with the UK office; developing slate projects, meeting new talent and sourcing new material. Before coming to Element, Emma spent two years working in the development department at Film4 and prior to that was a freelance script reader for a wide range of UK film, TV and theatre companies.

Karen O’Malley - Head of Home Entertainment
With over ten years experience in Irish production and film distribution, Karen manages the Home Entertainment output for Element Pictures Distribution. Karen acquires DVD, VoD and TV rights for independent film, drama, documentary and animation titles of specific interest to the Irish market.

Vicky Owens - Office Manager
Vicky has a BA in English and Sociology from UCC and a Certificate in Photography from Griffith College in Dublin. Having worked in a variety of Arts Administration roles Vicky joined Element in 2008 as Office Manager with responsibility for overseeing the efficient running of the Dublin and London offices.

Leonie Quinn - Accountant
Leonie’s background is in the performing arts where she worked full time until she caught the accounting bug. She has been working part-time since 2007 at Element Pictures, to satisfy her fascination with invoices, nominal ledgers and management accounts. Once she gets her love of accounting out of her system, she will go back to acting full time.

Nell Roddy - PR Executive
After completing a BA in Politics and Philosophy in UCD, Nell went on to study for her MA in Film and TV studies in DCU. Once completed she worked with LHP from a number of years as a publicist for acts as diverse as Nick Cave, Kila and Moby. Taking some time off to travel, Nell returned to Ireland in 2006 where she joined the Irish Film Institute as their press officer, managing and developing press strategies for all IFI events and theatrical releases. Nell joined Element Pictures Distribution in February 2008.

Audrey Sheils - Head of Distribution
After receiving her honours degree in marketing, she worked in brand management for 4 years based in Dublin. She then moved to London and worked as the Marketing Director for Metrodome responsible for the release of titles such as Donnie Darko, Spellbound and Monster. She then moved to Empire Design as an Account Director for Sony Pictures, Universal Pictures and HanWay working on titles such as Spiderman, Open Season, Hostel, The Da Vinci Code, Match Point, Kidulthood, Casino Royale and many more. After 7 years in London she moved back to Dublin to set up Element Pictures Distribution and has been responsible for the releases of Garage, Kisses and Waveriders

Maria Heffernan - Online Projects Manager
Maria studied Business and Marketing at Dublin City University before pursuing a career in IT. After 7 years in IT administration and technology project management, she returned to DCU and completed an Msc in Electronic Commerce. Maria joined Element in 2009 to work in the area of online projects including social media marketing for film releases, the launch of an online DVD shop and the upcoming video on demand platform, VOLTA
