Following the previous announcement that two of Element Pictures upcoming productions, the hotly anticipated ROOM (Lenny Abrahamson) & Cannes winner THE LOBSTER (Yorgos Lanthimos) are screening at the Toronto Festival, Element Pictures are thrilled that another Element Pictures production is also Toronto bound.
Jerzy Skolimowski’s 11 MINUTES will now screen at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival, which runs from September 10 -20. This latest Skolimowski is the Polish director’s second collaboration with Element Pictures.
The film stars Richard Dormer (Good Vibrations, ’71, Game of Thrones) in the lead role of a film director. It follows the same 11 minutes in the lives of several different characters; young and old, prosperous and destitute. Some story elements surprisingly intertwine; others follow their own intricate rhythm.
Commenting on the selection of 11 MINUTES, Element Pictures Producer Ed Guiney “we’re delighted to have 3 films in Toronto. It’s a brilliant platform for the very best of world cinema and we are delighted and honoured that these films have been selected. As ever it’s a testament to the amazing film makers we are lucky enough to be working with.”
Irish audiences will get an opportunity to see 11 MINUTES in cinemas when it goes on theatrical release next year through Element Pictures Distribution.
11 MINUTES is produced by Ewa Piaskowska of Skopia Film and co-produced by Andrew Lowe and Ed Guiney of Element Pictures and is backed by the Irish Film Board.
